Preparing for the season involves more than servicing the engine. Batteries, charging equipment, water systems, bilges and auxiliary equipment also belong in the plan. Sharing previous service records and symptoms noticed during use helps direct checks to the areas that need attention.
Start by identifying the need
We consider maintenance across the yacht, from engines and auxiliary systems to electrical equipment. Pre-season, end-of-season and periodic work is planned around the vessel’s condition and intended use.
The scope is established from the yacht’s equipment, service history and observed needs. Checking a system and identifying a repair requirement are separate steps. Findings are discussed, and routine maintenance and additional work are planned accordingly.
Areas to include in the assessment
These topics can help you prepare a list of needs before discussing the work. Not every task is necessary for every vessel; scope depends on equipment, current condition and usage plans.
- Pre-season and end-of-season maintenance, technical checks and planning.
- Engine, generator, cooling and fuel systems and mechanical equipment checks.
- Battery, wiring, charging system and electronic equipment checks.
- Water, air-conditioning and bilge systems and deck equipment maintenance.
What information can you share when planning?
Prepare the marina or boatyard location, vessel type and size, previous service records and preferred dates. If you have noticed a problem, explain when it began and under which conditions it appears. Photographs or short videos can help the initial discussion, while the full extent of technical or structural issues may require on-site assessment.
Organising service in Muğla
SolyMar is based at Martı Marina, Orhaniye / Marmaris. Requests at marinas and boatyards in Göcek, Fethiye, Bodrum and other Muğla districts are planned according to scope. Whether work will take place afloat or ashore, and site access conditions, should be clarified during the discussion.
This guide provides general information. Methods and scope for your yacht are established following assessment.
